Free and fair elections are the hallmark of our democracy. NETWORK strongly supports the following bills: the Support Our Election Workers Act which responds to the critical need to improve the support and retention of election workers; the Protecting Election Administration from Interference Act which responds to the ongoing need to expand protections for election workers and strengthens protections for election infrastructure; the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the Freedom to Vote Act. NETWORK opposes H.R. 4563 - the American Confidence in Elections Act.

NETWORK strongly supports all efforts to strengthen Medicaid. This is the nation's largest health program and is critical to support life. We call on all states to expand Medicaid immediately. NETWORK strongly supports all states extending 12 month pre and post-natal health coverage for all pregnant persons and new mothers. NETWORK strongly support the Biden Administration effort to implement the Inflation Reduction Act requiring price negotiations for drug sales to Medicare.

NETWORK strongly supports returning citizens to receive SNAP and TANF to support reintegration. We seek for the RESTORE ACT to in the Farm Bill. NETWORK strongly supports the Equal Act to end sentencing disparities between cocaine and crack cocaine. NETWORK strongly supports the MORE Act which provides robust sentencing reform for those incarcerated for the sale of marijuana. We also support the bill's provisions which invest in communities targeted in the "war on drugs."

NETWORK strongly supports strengthening the SNAP and WIC food programs in the Farm Bill. These are vitally important to ensure families and individuals have the food they need for health. NETWORK strongly opposes any effort that cuts domestic human needs programs and would restructure Medicaid, SNAP, Medicare, or Social Security.

NETWORK strongly supports the Black Maternal Health Momnibus Act which includes the following individual bills: 1. Make critical investments in social determinants of health that influence maternal health outcomes, like housing, transportation, and nutrition. 2. Extend WIC eligibility in the postpartum and breastfeeding periods. 3. Provide funding to community-based organizations that are working to improve maternal health outcomes and promote equity. 4. Increase funding for programs to improve maternal health care for veterans. 5. Grow and diversify the perinatal workforce to ensure that every mom in America receives maternal health care and support from people they trust. 6. Improve data collection processes and quality measures to better understand the causes of the maternal health crisis in the United States and inform solutions to address it. 7. Support moms with maternal mental health conditions and substance use disorders. NETWORK also supports passage of a fully refundable, inclusive, monthly Child Tax Credit to reduce child poverty in America. NETWORK supports supplemental spending for WIC and for childcare services.

NETWORK strongly supports the reauthorization of the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the U.S. governments signature global health effort in the fight against HIV, which has saved tens of millions of lives saved over the past 20 years. NETWORK urges the Biden Administration to include the following provisions in all new trade agreements: facility-specific, rapid-response labor enforcement tools and include penalties for labor rights violations; binding requirements for countries to meet their Paris climate obligations backed with facility-specific enforcement tools; right to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through sustainable methods and local inputs and removal of rules on intellectual property rights that prevent farmers from saving and sharing seeds; no new digital trade rules that include secrecy guarantees that restrict pre-screening or general review of algorithms or source code for racial biases, gender biases, labor law violations, and other potential abuses.
