Advocacy for western water and drought resilience, and natural infrastructure including S. 154/H.R. 231, Colorado River System Conservation Program Extension Act; H.R. 2786, Resilient Coasts and Estuaries Act; S. 1564/H.R. 6256, Floodplain Enhancement Act; and H.R. 9497/S. 4949, 2026 Water Resources Development Act. Support for administrative actions to promote water conservation and fish and wildlife habitat conservation in headwaters systems, improve water conservation efforts in the Rio Grande and Colorado River basins, and actions to improve water quality in the Florida Everglades.

FY27 appropriations requests related to fish and wildlife habitat conservation on public lands, access and digital mapping, source water protection, wildlife migration corridors, USGS cooperative research units, voluntary public access on private lands, chronic wasting disease, reclamation/water conservation, wildlife refuges, USDA conservation operations and assistance, Great Lakes, Chesapeake Bay, aEverglades restoration funding, and other conservation accounts. Outreach to OMB related to fish and wildlife habitat conservation and public access budget lines and programs.

Feedback and support for expanding wildlife crossings funding, culvert removal programs, PROTECT Program, Sportfish Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, and county road mapping and access improvements through the Highway Bill. Support for H.R. 5479, MAPRoads Act; H.R. 6078/S. 3503, Wildlife Road Crossings Program Authorization Act; S. 3556, Wildlife Crossings Program Reauthorization Act. Feedback on wildlife conservation provisions of H.R. 8870, Build America 250 Act.

Feedback and support for legislative proposals related to migration corridor conservation, forest health, public access, wildlife highway crossings, fish passage and conservation, and natural hazard mitigation and resilience including: H.R. 187, MAPWaters Act; H.R. 471/S. 1462, Fix Our Forests Act; H.R. 717, Wildlife Movement Through Partnerships Act; H.R. 718, Public Lands in Public Hands Act; S. 3792, Water Project Navigators Act, and other legislative proposals on expediting permitting for conservation and restoration projects, expanded water conservation and habitat improvement opportunities in the Rio Grande River basin, and support for public access and habitat conservation. Feedback and support on legislative proposals that would promote post-fire restoration and reforestation like H.R. 528, Post-Disaster Reforestation and Restoration Act. Feedback on proposals to rescind federal agency land use plans and public land orders through Congressional Review Act including: H.J. Res. 104, H.J. Res. 105, H.J. Res 106, and H.J. 140. Feedback and opposition to certain provisions related to sale of federal lands in H.R. 1, One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Support for administrative actions to expand federal land access, conserve wildlife migration corridors, implement the EXPLORE Act, and conserve fish and wildlife habitat. Feedback on adminstrative actions to revise regulations related to travel management and roadless areas. Recommendations to increase the impementation of USFS and DOI public access easements.

Support and feedback on marine fisheries conservation and access legislation including: S. 759, MAPOceans Act; S. 1078/H.R. 1514, Mississippi River Basin Fishery Commission Act of 2025; H.R. 3714, Forage Fish Conservation Act of 2025; H.R. 207, SHARKED Act, legislative proposals to address aquatic invasive species, and other initiatives support marine fisheries conservation. Support for administrative actions related to forage fish conservation and sport fish bycatch reduction and improve access for recreational offshore fishing.

Support for S. 704/H.R. 1565, Voluntary Public Access Improvement Act of 2025; H.R. 2235, Habitat Connectivity on Working Lands Act of 2025; H.R. 605, Headwaters Protection Act; S. 1462, Fix Our Forests Act; S. 2608, CRP Improvement and Flexibility Act; S. 4548, GROUSE Act and other work related to conservation and forestry in the Farm Bill. Support and feedback for H.R. 7567, Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 and Senate Farm Bill discussion draft. Advocacy for fish and wildlife habitat improvements through implementation of Farm Bill Conservation Title funding in H.R. 1, One Big Beautiful Bill Act, including the VPA-HIP program. Support for administrative actions to conserve and expand migration corridor conservation on public and private land, digitize and make publicly available recreation information, to address Chronic Wasting Disease, and engagement on Roadless Area Conservation and U.S. Forest Service travel management rulemaking.
