CARLOS PAZ-SOLDAN

Assist City of Saint Paul with requests for grants and funding for Corps of Engineers and other infrastructure projects to maintain and improve the Saint Paul Harbor and support the US fishing industry and Coast Guard operations in the Bering Sea.

Represent City of Saint Paul on issues regarding tribal fishery rights, federal trust responsibilities toward Alaska Natives, and fulfillment of federal obligations to Saint Paul resulting from the PL 104-91 process, the Fur Seal Act Amendments of 1983, and the Pribilof Island Transition Act of 2000.

Represent City of Saint Paul on issues related to relevant fisheries legislation including the Magnuson Stevens Act Reauthorization, Crab Rationalization Program, Fishery Disaster provisions, and halibut fishery management issues.

Represent CBSFA on issues under the Magnuson-Stevens Act umbrella including potential changes to the MSA National Standards, updates to the NS guidelines, CDQ Program issues as well as relevant fisheries legislation.
