ACCA lobbied congressional leadership: Sen. Ron Wyden, Sen. Mike Crapo, Rep. Jason Smith, and Rep. Richard Neal, to extend the 199A deduction for pass-through entities. ACCA also urged these Senators and Representatives to preserve Sections 179D, 45L, and 25C regarding energy efficiency tax incentives.
American Innovation in Manufacturing Act (Public Law 116-260) regarding HFC phasedown. ACCA supports a safe transition for contractors and consumers alike, given the flammable nature of A2L refrigerants, which will be replacing HFCs in the marketplace. ACCA also supports an orderly transition in order to minimize market disruptions. ACCA lobbied for a one year sell-through period for products that use R410a refrigerant.
ACCA met with representatives from the Department of Treasury to discuss compiling informational resources for HVAC contractors on the 25C tax credit.
