NATIONAL MIGRANT AND SEASONAL HEAD START ASSOCIATION

Specific lobbying for Head Start funding and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Funding. Worked with House and Senate Appropriations Committees on FY 2024 Labor-HHS Education bill, seeking language to address eligibility issues related to Migrant and Seasonal Head Start.

Worked with the Administration of Children and Families and the Office of Head Start to ensure that the unique needs of Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs and farmworker families are met. Worked with House and Senate on FY 2024 Budget; specifically with House and Senate Education committees to ensure language addressed specific needs of farmworker families as the committee looked to increase investments in childcare and early education programs.
