Implementation on FY23 "Pilot Program on Sustainable Building Materials" for National Defense Authorization Act National Defense Authorization Act FY24 provisions related to certification of eligible construction materials for mass timber consideration and continuing education provisions for more wood products utilization. Discussed prospective ideas for FY25 NDAA as it relates to "quality of life" provisions military and service personnel for increased wood products potential within the Department of Defense. National Defense Authorization Act FY25 NDAA to support bill language which establishes a contracting preference for primary construction materials of military construction projects that will enhance the quality of life of such projects end users. Support an additional $12 million above the Presidents Budget Request for research, development, test, and evaluation of mass timber applications for Department of Defense military construction projects.
