Advocate for increased funding for in the FY 2025 Appropriations bills for NSF, NASA, NOAA, EPA Science (Commerce-Justice-Science Appropriations Act - H.R. 9026, S. 4795), Dept of Energy EERE, Office of Science, Nuclear Energy (Energy-Water Appropriations FY 2025 H.R. 8997, S. 4927), USDA AFRI, Extension, Smith-Lever, McIntire-Stennis, Specialty Crop Research Initiative, USDA Food Animal Residue Avoidance Database (Agriculture Appropriations for FY 2025 H.R. 9027, S. 4690), DOD 6.1 and 6.2 research (Defense Appropriations FY 2025 H.R. 8774, S. 4921), National Institutes of Health, Dept. of Education student aid programs (Pell, SEOG, Work-Study) and FIPSE research (Labor, HHS, Education Appropriations 2025, H.R. 9029, S. 4942).

Dept. of Education student aid programs Increase the Pell Grant maximum to $13,000 per student Increase Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant funding to $1.3 billion Support an increase in the federal contribution to the Work-Study program to $1.4 billon Increase support for Fund to Improve Post-Secondary Education research. to $800 million (Labor, HHS, Education Appropriations 2025, H.R. 9029, S. 4942)

Increase McIntire Stennis forestry research funding and investments in forestry research buildings and facilities. FY 2025 Agriculture Appropriations - H.R. 9027, S. 4690 Farm Bill reauthorization ( H.R.8467, No Senate bill number)

Increase funding for FY 2025 6.1 (fundamental research) and 6.1 applied research above the FY 2024 level by 10% and support investments in hypersonic research, additive manufacturing for defense applications, soldier deployed advanced solar power solutions and textiles to protect soldiers and first-responders. (Defense Appropriations FY 2025 H.R. 8774, S. 4921. National Defense Authorization Act 2025, S.4638, H.R. 8070

Increased federal Agriculture and Food Research Institute, Hatch (research) capacity funding, Smith-Lever agricultural extension funding, increases to McIntire-Stennis forestry research funding and the Food Animal Residue Avoidance Database program. Support federal infrastructure investments in agriculture research buildings and facilities to increase research capacity to respond to climate change and adaptation needs for the FY 2025 appropriations cycles. Support robust funding for the the Research Facilities Act (RFA), which would increase federal support for facilities infrastructure repair and rennovation. (Agriculture Appropriations for FY 2025- H.R. 9027 S. 4690) Farm Bill provisions (H.R.8467, No Senate bill number).

Increased support for students, post-docs and highly skilled foreign faculty who are additing to the the intellectual capacity of the nation. Retention of Optional Practical Training opoortunities for foreign students. No specific legislation has been instroduced.
