USCA supports maintaining exemptions for certain regulations that have an impact on the ability of U.S. livestock haulers to do their job safely and efficiently. Specific bills related to that effort include the Deregulating Restrictions on Interstate Vehicles and Eighteen Wheelers Act, or DRIVE Act.

USCA supports the establishment of a country-of-origin labeling program for beef. Specific bills related to this effort include the American Beef Labeling Act. USCA supports recent rules which state that any voluntary labeling of beef as "Born, raised and processed in the US" is exactly that, beef only born and raised in the US. USCA supports closing the Product of the U.S.A. loophole for beef that has been imported into the country. USCA supports clear, differentiated labeling on foods produced using cell-cultured technology.

USCA supports the immediate suspension of beef imports from Brazil and Paraguay due to concerns related to the use of child & forced labor, deforestation of critical rainforests, food safety concerns, and animal health concerns.
