Federal appropriations and budget policy related to wildfire resilience, hazardous fuels reduction, prescribed fire, mechanical fuels treatments, and deployment of innovative wildfire mitigation technology. Activities included FY2027 appropriations, implementation of wildfire resilience funding, and budget strategy affecting USDA, DOI, and related federal programs.

Federal natural resources policy relating to forest resilience, hazardous fuels reduction, prescribed fire, mechanical fuels treatments, and deployment of innovative wildfire mitigation technology. Activities included legislative strategy and advocacy related to the Fix Our Forests Act (S. 1462), the Cross-Boundary Wildfire Solutions Act, forestry provisions of the Farm Bill, and related USDA and DOI authorities supporting wildfire resilience and active forest management.

Federal policy and program implementation supporting landscape resilience, ecosystem restoration, wildfire risk reduction, community protection, and deployment of innovative technologies to reduce catastrophic wildfire impacts. Activities included implementation of prescribed fire and hazardous fuels treatment programs, cross-boundary landscape restoration, and coordination among federal agencies responsible for wildfire resilience.

Federal appropriations, authorizations, report language, and agency implementation related to wildfire risk reduction, hazardous fuels treatment, prescribed fire, mechanical fuels treatment, forest resilience, community wildfire defense, wood utilization/biomass, and deployment of technology for fuel reduction and wildfire mitigation, including grants, cooperative agreements, pilots, demonstrations, procurement, and contracting pathways. Issues may include H.R. 471/S. 1462, Fix Our Forests Act, and related USDA, DOI, DOE, and DOD programs, as applicable.
