FY 2027 appropriations advocacy, including General Departmental Office (GDO) funding requests and related appropriations matters at the Department of Energy (DOE) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with a particular focus on the ENERGY STAR program. Advocacy also addressed investment in critical grid equipment at DOE and congressional and agency recognition of NEMAs "Make It American" program, including supporting report language advancing NEMA member interests.

Federal Surface Transportation Reauthorization advocacy on NEMA priorities, including support for the bipartisan reauthorization process; congressional recognition of private‑sector Build America, Buy America (BABA) certification tools and NEMAs "Make It American" program; and continued funding for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program.

Legislative advocacy regarding S. 448 / H.R. 4128 (CIRCUIT Act) and related tax policy issues affecting NEMA members, including implementation of the Prohibited Foreign Entity (PFE) provisions under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) and proposed expansions of the Section 45X advanced manufacturing production tax credit.

Legislative and regulatory advocacy on energy policy issues, including H.R. 4626 (Dont Mess with My Appliances Act), H.R. 4774 (SPEED Act), H.R. 7257 / S. 4166 (Securing Community Upgrades for a Resilient Grid Act), S. 3947 (REWIRE Act), grid‑related executive actions, and permitting reform. Advocacy also addressed a range of energy issues, including reform of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), Department of Energy (DOE) energy efficiency programs (including building efficiency programs and the LIT Act), transformers production and supply‑chain constraints, critical minerals programs, domestic and international energy supply chains, contracting reform related to energy efficiency legislation, and national energy strategy.

Surface Transportation Reauthorization advocacy, including support for recognition of NEMAs "Make It American" program as an official industry resource; support for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program; deployment of proven safety and mobility technologies; and policies to strengthen domestic manufacturing and supply chains.
