Urged members of Congress to oppose, S.4753, Energy Permitting Reform Act of 2024, and other efforts that undermine NEPA, environmental justice, and serve as giveaways to the fossil fuel industry.

Urged the Department of Energy (DOE) to extend the comment deadline for responses to its request for information on DOEs EJ Strategic Plan by 30 days to August 30, 2024. Requested Information Related to the Department of Energys Environmental Justice Strategic Plan, 89 Fed. Reg. 51,880 (June 20, 2024). Encouraged DOE, the Treasury Department, and the White House to support and contribute to a strong standard and sideboards for qualifying for the clean hydrogen tax credit, 45V. Urged members of the House to vote no on H.R. 7637, Refrigerator Freedom Act and H.R. 7700, Anti-Appliance Efficiency Bills.

Urged Congress to support the Montana Headwaters Legacy Act (S. 3346) and the River Democracy Act (S. 4449). Urge Congress to increase funding in FY25 for lead service line replacement. Urge Congress to vote no on carbon/power plants Congressional Review Act. Urge Congress to oppose the methane Congressional Review Act. Urge Congress to oppose the Steam Electric ELGs (Effluent Limitation Guidelines) Congressional Review Act.

Urged EPA to close New Source Review (NSR) air emissions accounting loophole from the Trump era. Urged the EPA to strengthen the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. Urged the DOE to conduct a robust analysis that fully accounts for all impacts of LNG exports along the entire supply and delivery chain and objectively apply these results to future applications. Urged the Department of Treasury for a more inclusive definition of qualifying ports and facilities to ensure that the economic benefits of offshore wind development are maximized for energy communities throughout the state, not just in those adjacent to development. Urged the FHFA (Federal Housing Finance Agency) to direct the Government Sponsored Enterprises, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to join the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Agriculture (USDA) in requiring that all new homes with mortgages backed by the Enterprises meet updated building energy code requirements.
