Implementation and reauthorization of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over-the-counter (OTC) drug approval process reforms for sunscreen ingredients included in Public Law 116-136, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES Act); FDA proposed order on OTC sunscreen active ingredients; FDA jurisdiction regarding the safety and efficacy and OTC sunscreen active ingredients; sunscreen provisions in the FY 2025 House and Senate appropriations for the Food and Drug Administration (H.R. 9027 and S. 4690); implementation of the National Academies of Science (NAS) report on sunscreen; skin cancer prevention for outdoor workers; Cancer Moonshot initiative; use of sunscreen in schools to prevent sunburns in children.
