H.R. 6379/S. 1736, the Farmers First Act - This legislation would provide mental health resources for farmers and rural communities, which is a group that is disproportionably impacted by mental health.
H.R. 7046/S. 3848; The Supporting Farm Operations Act - INFB is supportive of H.R. 7046 and S. 3848, the Supporting Farm Operations Act. This legislation would freeze the H-2A Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs) at 2023 levels for two years. Additionally, it would direct the Department of Labor to utilize a primary duties test for H-2A employees performing more than one duty or task. Our members rely on H-2A labor and these reforms would greatly benefit farmers that utilize the program.
