Concerns with provisions in the Biden Administrations "Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment" rule (RIN: 1840-AD57); Concerns with provisions in the "Pell Grants for Prison Education Programs; Determining the Amount of Federal Education Assistance Funds Received by Institutions of Higher Education (90/10); Change in Ownership and Change in Control" rule (RIN 1840-AD54, 1840-AD55, 1840-AD66, 1840-AD69); Support for H.R. 6951, the College Cost Reduction Act, which would repeal and/or streamline 90/10 and GE provisions; Support for H.R. 6585, the Bipartisan Workforce Pell Act that would amend the Higher Education Act to offer Pell Grants for 8-week or longer education programs; Support for the amendment to title 38, United States Code, to provide that educational assistance paid under Department of Veterans Affairs educational assistance programs to an individual who pursued a program or course of education that was suspended or terminated for certain reasons shall not be charged against the entitlement of the individual, and for other purposes;" Concerns with S. 161, Jumpstart Our Businesses by Supporting Students (JOBS) Act of 2023; and Concerns with Borrower Defense Loan Discharge (34 CFR 685.206).
