● Provide Working Waterfront draft legislation for Client; review FISH Wellness Act, provide feedback to Hill staff on House staff; review H.R. 6235 and reach out to Hill staff to discuss legislation ● Circulate Clients resolution on Importation of Russian Seafood to Hill staff ● Provide Fisheries Finance Program (FFP) white paper to Hill staff; advise Client of FFP opportunities; share NOAA announcement on the program; provide Client with advice for commenting on NOAAs data confidentiality proposed rule; review NOAAs final 2024 MMPA List of Fisheries; provide petition submitted to NOAA on chinook bycatch to allow Client to develop comment submission; comment on draft questions for Client meeting with NOAA ● Participate in Hill staff committee meeting on national fisheries issues ● Organize Client call with NOAA staff to discuss the National Seafood Strategy ● Ongoing communications with Client on numerous marine/oceans issues including: status of marine sanctuaries in the region, Hill staff changes, NOAAs 2023 IRA spend plan, MMPA issues; fishery disaster reform; VIDA status; OSW energy development & impacts on whales; WA-AK chinook salmon status and SRKW population issues; MSA reauthorization, Hill staff changes, NOAAs 2023 IRA spend plan, and MMPA issues
